There is a right up in the Old Boat Sport Mag. 1957 that tells of the B Stock Konig. There is a picture of Deter Konig in a Hydro using this motor. If I get a chance I will scan it and put it on HR. True APBA only allowed American made engines so they were never really sold or raced in the US. ..Bob N-96

stockers ?
That motor is some what unique, especially in that condidtion, as most were cobbled up into alkys. It is the two cylinder [B?] version of the one cylinder M and three cylinder 'C' motors. They were of a modular construction [like Quincy Zs] so u could build them up as a single, twin, or triple.
Below is an add for this motor from the mid '50s implying it was a legal NOA motor. I have never seem these first edition twins in Canada, but the later stock B&C, 20"&26", model HD&CM, single carb deflector twins were common and raced in the CBF.
They were not competitive with a good 'popper' , but would run with a OEM M20H. Steve Roskowski has an very nice HD in his collection. In the early '60s there was a full 30", flat top, stock C twin that would run with any thing other than a Crescent .
Below are pics of a late '50s HD 'B' twin, and an early three cylinder alky 'C' version of this motor.Brian Hendrick, #66 F

Here is the first year A-class Alky Konig: 1957 HRA
I have this one (currently being sold) here and it's missing the carbs and pipes... Otherwise original 1957 Konig A class alky motor.

Konig Twin Carb Umit
It's good to see that my Konig is not an orphan. I have a similar version acquired in LA, Cal and it looked like an old racer tried to mate a newer cylinder and looper type pistons on the older twin carb deflector crankcase. Steve Litzell rebuilt the crankcase and I have been struggling finding other parts. I have the carbs and magneto but still lacking the flywheel. Any help tracking down parts would be appreciated.

'what fat lady'
Indeed, an odd auction, it was over $3K with six hrs to go.
Two bidders with 26 buys between them going at it.
This is what e-bay says;
