Thanks for the story. Last we heard Billy pushed the business off on his son and went to Colorado to retire and relax. I guess he won again. Dad is doing great. He is still working hard and will retire next year. He's looking forward to that. He has kept Me and Tylane in Championship engines for the last 15 years, and enjoys watching everything happen. We're going to Jesup, Ga to see about getting more championships.

              Happy B Day Fred

              Mr. Hebert,

              Happy Birthday sir !!

Funny story just last year, As some may know, Shane (son) is racing in the SEH class. Shane drives some pretty decent equipment too, and only needs to be fine tuned to be a front runner at any race. They are working hard at it. Well, in Centrallia I drug out my SEH to test. My dad and I are going through some wheels and set-ups. Well, as I am going out of the pits to test, I look over and see Mr. Herbert hoofing it towards the point. I guessed what he was doing and got on it and got my reading down the back stretch before he could make it to the point. Then I kinda putted (SEH put at around 75MPH) past the point and waved. I don't think he saw me wave though, as he was already heading back to his trailer. So later that night over some cold, fresh brews, all of us were chatting. I asked Mr. Herbert if he got to the point quick enough to time me... He looked at me as if shocked I knew !! That was funny, because he thought he was being sly.

Dave, you can't prove that the Hebert's were trying to find out how fast you go. You don't have it on film, do ya? Dad said the shocked look was that his beer was empty. That's his story and he's stickin to it.
