  • Don't forget to take the.......?

I need some help, I haven't paked a racing trailer for over 30 years. As the new season approaches what's the one or two things, aside from the obvious, you can't leave home without?

We never leave home without the BBQ grille and a cooler full of home made, hand packed brats, and a slab of BSOB (rreal name, Tri Tip, my name, Breaded Scrodum of Bull) marinating in a zip lock so it's just right for Saturday night.

      Do NOt Forget

      1) Beer, Ice and Water
      2) Ice, Water and Beer
      3) Water, Beer and Ice

Also, Fuel, shop towels, sun screen, tool box, checkbook, props and map of where you are headed. Some kind of coverering is also helpful, like a pop-up tarp.

        Never Forget...

...your props and underwear, you can borrow everything else you forget.

          What to take...

My problem is what NOT to take. I take too much stuff. Things I would never need or use. Then I'm buried with a mess of too much stuff.

unless of course you have really slow wheels, then you might get lucky borrowing.

                David,

Use Saltwater in the cooler It gets cold way faster like 38 degrees in 5 Minutes. This was a mythbuster special on Cooling a 6 pack. LOL.

Mom always used to pack a small first aid box that had the basics plus a bottle of benadryl and a bottle of tylenol. You never know when the bees will start stinging or someone will have a headache.

The tools won't be a problem. I will help you out with those.

For a wet motor - Starting fluid, at least four extra spark plugs, extra head gasket, bucket to collect bad gas, extra pull rope.

For timing - Timing wrench, Buzz box, dial, spark plug gap gage.

                              David,

You are always welcome on the crew. For you, however, I have a special requirement of Tunk's jambalaya, red beans & rice, and cajun bbq shrimp. I know the joint is right down the street!!

As an added bonus, we will have 12oz bottles of beer and not those strange 10 OZ cans from LA.

We certainly will need help for the world championships!!
