  • I have a prop question?

Whats the point to a cleaver prop compared to a 'round ear' race prop, or any prop in between? What do people prefer? Why? What are the pros and cons of the different types?

I'm trying to learn as much as I can!

Props are a black art with some science. Here is a web site that will offer some good basic info. The real info is found in testing and talking to the prop experts.

This folowing site has a lot of interesting info. He is a racer and an aero engineer. He has a book on props and racing hull design books and software but for tunnels only but the theory is not much different for tail draggers like we race. Download lots of free articles.
