I had read several posts about Johnny Wladarski, and heard many great stories about him and his abilities and character. That is why I put Johnny on the list earlier and totally destroyed the spelling of his name (sorry Johnny).

Johnny took the time to write to me today to thank me for nominating him.

I wasn't looking for a thank you and never expected it. What a pleasant surprise.

    Thank you Johnny.

Though I may be a bit biased, I am of course going to pick Amy and Wendy Eldredge. Both National Champions, both great girls and fierce competitors.

Brandon Thirlby- fast in anything you put him in. Also very humble, and down to earth. Can't help but like "the Squirrel"!

Will (B.J.) Tetro- Has done very well for himself in one of the toughest classes in PRO- 125 Hydro. He's due for a title.

Tony Lombardo- Has come on the scene strong in a short time. A smart and talented driver. In the Hall of Champions this year, and very deserving of it. My West Coast brother!

Paulie Bosnich III- National Champ in 125 Runabout, also runs well in 125 Hydro, and did quite well for himself in Stock at Jesup. Good guy from a nice family.

Ellison boys- Michael did well in 125 R (stay off the dirt bike, at least in season!) Kevin in 125 Hydro(though Mom has been getting "scoreboard" on you Sorry Kev!) Travis (K Pro USTS Champ!).

Leaving out many deserving names, but the overall talent level of the new crop is top notch, it's great to see. The future looks bright for our sport!

PS. My little brother Pete Crowley Jr. will be starting JH and K Pro this year. Hope to include him on this list someday.

There are a lot of us who don't get recognition but we don't need it. I for one do this becuase I have fun. Even if I had done something recognizable, which I have not, that's not what this is about. I don't set my kids up to go kick butt...I want them to learn how to start, how to compete and how to lose and how to win. I do this for me and I want the same for them. If they are not having fun...we are finished.
A lot of the kids on the list travel all over racing and that is why they are so well known. The kids on the USTS travel over 12,000 miles each summer so they meet a lot of folks. The stock kids also travel all over, hell check out the thread....Tony and Rick's Excellent Adventure...that one lasted all summer. I hate to see you leave over an internet thread...

Of course, will have to go to the one and only Paulie Bosnich! (OK, so I'm a bit prejudiced!!)

Yeah, I'll second all four of those. And I'll throw in Kelly Hannon and Ashley Rucker.

No one in this sport gets recognition!! Come on, this obviously runs deeper than some stupid thread. What kind of recognition do you expect? We go out, we race, and we drink beer. If you do well you might get a pat on the back at most races. Unless you do something like win a nationals, don't expect much more.

    Stay in it

Ask your kids to stay in it and continue to kick butt, eventually they will get the recognition they deserve. That happens to even older drivers all the time, just learn to snub them back......... If I can help your kids in any way, just let me know.

...I have been doing so for over 30 years!!!

I think you will fit in well with the little league crowd. Hate to see your children get out of a wonderful, albeit not perfect sport.....no doubt that their competitors know who they are on the race course and do not need to find their names on this list....best of luck and Happy Holidays!

Inclusion or exclusion has no bearing on what has happened on the water or what will happen on the water. Happy internet racing to all!!
