  • With the season winding down and Region meetings on the horizon….

We will be electing our commissioners for next year over the next few months and those that we elect will then decide who our next chairman will be.

I for one would like to know who is going to run for SO Chairman. It may make a difference on who who runs for the SORC and who gets elected.

    Rumors are:
    Mike Ross
    Tom Johnston
    Scott Reed
    John Runne
    2-Z

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

It's RACING, not just another boat ride!

NOT a representative of Racing Outboards LLC.

      John Runne

What about you John Runne, I think you would make a great Commissioner, as well as SO Chairman.

You might want to ask the REAL Commissioner that question: Robin.

Thanks for the consideration but I wouldn't be able to do that job at this time. My primary focus is on establishing the steering comittee as an important factor for maintaining a consistant direction in a goal oriented, proactive commission that changes membership annually.

Just a quick note reguarding the election of the new Stock Chairman. Once the new commision is elected from the region meetings coming up. Gloria at APBA will be sending out a blank ballot for these new commisioners to vote for who they want as there new chairman. This is not done like we just did when we elected the new board members. We had nominees to choose from and then also a write in section for anyone who we as members thought would be good. I think anyone who is interested should make it known they are interested so these new commisioners have an idea who might be interested. I think that is what Donny was trying to do with this post. As you know I have expressed intrest in running as VP. I have the commitment from Ed Hearn to do my current job as secratary. We basicly would just be switching roles. I apprecate Ed for doing this as his past performance has been outstanding and I think he brings a bunch to the table as far as knowledge. Anyway lets get your name out if you are interested. If I don't get elected then I would be willing to stay as secratary for who ever becomes the VP. Mike

It's pretty simple, if they don't let it be known that they are interested then they won't get any votes. Or am I in left field on this?

Our Region meeting is in 3 weeks, anyone other than Mike going to run?
