I was very sad to see we were going to have a wind delay at Dayton. What to do? We went to the Air Force Museum. I have seen the signs for this for years and just never have had the time. The wind delay was well worth the 4 heats of racing I lost.
I started out the tour with Jim Robb a Air force Vet and good friend. It was an awesome display of what Americans can do when challenged. From "Doolittles heroes" http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=9714965 to the f-22 it was amazing.
I lost Jim but found more friends; retired Air force pilots Mike Marshall and Jack Stotts. Mike and Jack gave us unique history and insight into the planes and tactic used for each aircraft. Jack was actually a crew member on one of the planes in the museum and Mike flew several of the planes on display.
I would like to say thank you to Jim, Jack and Mike for the tour it was the highlight of a weekend.
