Every day is a good day, today is an exceptional day for you and for boat racing. Your influence has been massive to our sport in to many ways to count. You are the greatest in many areas ( like secretary for me & writer for us all)
Bill Giles
This is a messsage for a HAPPY BIRTHDAY from all the Hagerl's We miss you terribly. Maybe we will see you in the fall when we get our act together. Many things have changed our lives but you have been one of the better ones. Love you -- MaryEllen
Special thanks to son Jerry for putting up this thread. They say you have two families, your personal family and your boat racing family. This proves it to be true. It is a pleasure to work at the races wherever I go, even if I have to get into a face or two sometimes, it's only to make you better racers. Carl Holt got me into local politics with Jack's permission in 1980; Don Hagerl the region politics in the mid-80's, and Bill Giles the national politics in the late 80's. Thanks to all.
My husband and family surprised me tonight with a wonderful birthday party with all our grandkids...it was super. See you all at Alexandria, KY race if we go, might head north to the Michigan Chris Craft 25-yr. Jubilee antique race. Jack hasn't decided yet. Thanks Jack for the awesome card and flowers, Jonathan for another wonderful homemade cake, Justin for the sweet banana split sundae picture holder, and Melanie and Jon for the great picture frame of 3 pictures of me and my Dad Bernie who just passed away July 16th at age 93.
