  • Sean Rosado Nascar Update

Sean has just signed on with Waltrip Racing. He will be doing body, paint & Graphics for the Nextel #00 Dominos Pizza and Busch #99 Aarons cars of David Reutamin, the Nextel #44 UPS of Dale Jarrett, the Nextel #55 Napa Auto Parts of Michael Waltrip and the #00 Red Bull Craftsman Truck of AJ Almindinger. Sean was previously with the #7 Hooters Pennington Motorsports Craftsman Truck. He also had an offer to join Robby Gordon Racing, but opted to go with the Toyota backed Waltrip team.

Michael or Robby Hmm! Alot of job security in those two.

You should be very proud of Sean. Not all of us can rise to the top of our fields in such a short time. The talent must run in the family.

There can't be much work for a paint and body guy on the #55 car since he's unable to make any races and wreck stuff. I heard a debate the other day if the problem was a bad driver or a bad owner. You can pick your own choice. Any bets on when NAPA leaves?

Also there is a rumor that Dale Jarrett may be out and Bill Elliott in when Jarrett runs out of provisionals.

Looks like the youngster is the best of the Waltrip Toyota drivers, but probably gets paid the least.

        But good luck to Sean

Sean works on the cars regardless of who drives them. With his last gig, he did it all, including going over the wall on race day. With this gig he doesn't have to go over the wall on race day and only has to attend tech inspection at specific races. The gig he turned down was for suspension systems. He's still working his way up. His gig before Hooters was as a crew chief for a Busch East car. If nothing else, he's doing his hobby and making a good full time paycheck doing it. There are few of us that get to live that life.

Thanks Charlie, He does make me proud. I was at Homestead standing at the wall in the team pit slot beside the crew chief and team owner during the race. I even got in the 2007 Team Calender.

That is awesome. Maybe I'll get tickets for Loudon again and see his work in person.

Looks like Mikey Waltrip needs more paint and body work for his regular car than he does for his racecar. He can't wreck many racers when he doesn't make any races but has plenty of opportunities to wreck his passenger car.

Loudon is a GREAT place to see Sean's work

Loudon couldn't be better! I have gone twice and you cant beat the low key atmosphere! You can get real close to the action without spending an arm and a leg. Those big tracks like Dega and Daytona can keep their droves people.

Good job Sean. I would love to have an opportunity like that. Keep up the good work
There's nothing like rolling up a runabout!

My father told me about HYDRORACER.NET the other day so I figured I'd check it out. I've seen names that bring back memories from my boat racing days. I appreciate all the comments and look forward to keeping in touch with everyone.
