Make fire fox faster

Do not change settings you do not understand! I found this on the net and it works.

Open Firefox and in the address bar type: "about:config"

1. Find network.http.pipelining and double click on it so it = true
2. Find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests double click on it and change it from 4 to 100

What do these changes do?
1. This enables option #2.
2. This makes FF use 8 threads to each page.. Basically, if you thought FF was fast before, try it after this.

Hey Brian,

The huge smile on my face says it all, I am a Mac user plus Firefox = my# 1 main Mac which is a G5 has not been turned off or reboot in over one year now 365 days running strong without a single restart or blue screen of death!

All my Macs go into sleep mode at night but never turned off! I need to build a shire around these puppies

There are even add-ons for fire fox that help increase the speed of it.

I got the true value but could not figiure out how to change the value from 4 to 100
