been there with my Ryobi . . .
Had the Ryobi portable sander strapped to a board and the board clamped to a table so I could use it like a table mount belt sander. With no work table or work stop on the belt it was quite exciting! Trimmed my fingernails on one pass and ground the skin off a few knuckles before I finished sanding whatever it was I was working on. hey Bill im not sure you understand my jig system in pic, the jig is the worktable and you can fasten your stops to the jig, then place material firmly on jigs worktable and always rotate or pull material in oppsite direction of belt rotation. I also have a 12" delta disc with large worktable 1965 year model
great tool but not so good on large curves.
