  • The Ol' Team's Christmas Card

This time of the year I like to look at the old Christmas Card that my original racing partners, Dave and Scott Brown, and I sent out in 1973. This was a classic.

Have a Happy Krimble and a Merry Goo Year,

Destiny is a matter of chance,it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

yes. my grandmother always told me to keep all my xmas cards, although only the Seattle boatracers will understand this one! This place sold trees for $5 bucks. We all had one.

        99 cents ...

They were only 99 cents in my day and the drugstore next door was the only place I could by Boat Sport mags on a regular basis ... across the street was Chets Barber Shop next door to George Ferrari's Meat Market ... three blocks South was Seattle Outboard Service ... sure would love to find someone that still had pictures of that boat racers hangout ... wall to wall race boats stacked like cordwood ... Konigs, Mercs and Hot Rods everywhere you looked ... or was it just my imagination?
        Untethered from reality!
