According the chart above 200 KPH puts him the 150 mph range as Bill stated this is still insane !

        Hey Bill

Not to hijack the thread but good to see you're alive and well in NC.

        Sean

BTW, I had a '93 Ford Escort wagon that would go almost 110 km/h.

          Oh yeah . . .

Alive, well, and busy. Every weekend Milady has us going - seafood festival, chili cookoff, and Mumfest. Mumfest ??? Mum = quiet, so's that mean you'll shut up? *THONK* After I recovered from her whapping me upside the head I learned - too late - that a mum is some kinda flower bush.

BTW - I had a `60 Studebaker Lark convertable that could bust 100 kph with the top down! That car was scary fast!

            Cars? You don't know Cars...

I had a 76 ford station wagon with home stereo speakers and radio shack 50 watt nearly distortion free amp. I had it close to 80 with 10 folks and a half barrell of Busch now that was scary.... The biker guy is nuts!!

Those were some bad little motorcycles! I bought a brand new left over 1984 GPz 550 not long before the 1986 models came out (only way I could afford one). Not too long after that (a year, maybe) a friend of mine bought a 600 Ninja. Caused me to buy a Wiseco "big bore kit" (do they still make those?) that bumped me up to ~ 625 CC's.... That was the only way I could keep that Ninja in site (really wasn't that bad, but the Ninja was definately faster). If I'd kept that GPz much longer I'd had a set of Kerker's (remember those? Are they still in business?) on it too. Finally had to decide which toy(s) I wanted to keep - motorcyle or CMH and CMR. Needless to say I decided to keep the boats (and I don't regret it one bit).

The guy in that video has even less sense than I did when I had a motorcycle (that's bad! ). If he hasn't made the obits yet he's very lucky. Now I'm glad that I didn't have something that would run 180 mph. Fastest I've been on a motorcyle was 131 mph on a KZ 1000. The owner told me that he'd had it to 136 mph and that that was all it had in it. I ran out of room before I could get it to 136 mph.
              ...

OMC FE/SE powerhead parts for sale. Kurcz ported block, Mod 50 pistons and cylinder head, exhaust, etc.

                  USA is old school

The USA is the only country left on the antique English system. It is KPH for sure, you would only see MPH in the states.

And who was it that developed the Metric System?....

                        oh yes, the FRENCH!

Should we look into speaking French?

Good lord! Will you goofs scroll down a bit and read the caption for the video? Look at the three foot long license plates. I believe it even says it is in Sweeden. On a different note, you can't hardly use the power on a stock R1 let alone a turbo'd one. That is why he doesn't keep it up on one wheel. It hits so hard he'd be blowing over before he even realizes what was going on. Neat video, but the world's most unrideable bike!

                              KPH for sure!

This VID was posted on some of the motorcycle forums back in August, I thought I had seen it before...Funny thing, Not one of the guys from the MC forums even said a word about the speed ..All they talked about was how bad of an idea it is to do these kind of stunts on a public road. Oh and the coments made about the lack of Safety gear?..well I cant repete that here on Dan's site
Pulling the front up on every gearchange is kinda impressive, I guess..... Didn't see any good riding though.

I ride a 1000cc sport bike daily and when I see some one riding like this in traffic I get pissed .. cause now every one thinks I'm just as much of a FOOL as that guy....Doesn't help with motorcycle insurance rates eather!

Don't get me wrong, I like to go fast on a bike too...I just choose to do it on an empty back road whare the chances of herting some one other than myself is limmeted.

Hard to beat riding through a good set of twistie's at the "PACE"
                              93-C

                                Speedo

I have 2005 Ninja 600. I did some motor, exhaust and frame work and, let me tell you, with a 125lbs driver, it flys... The only problem is, is the Speedo itself. At 100MPH you're only actually going 90ish, 150mph = 135ish, and so on. I took my GPS out to verify (yes, the same one that never seems to say over 67 in my CSH) and if you can find a good road, you can easily reach 185mph at 16500rpm. Thats fast.
