She has been well over 225 Mph with 6 G's against her body going into the turns I think she could handle just about anything ! I have been to a few IRL races and the TV coverage does not come close to the real time speeds they are running.

350 hydro in competition running 99.9 MPH (just under 100 of course) boring? In a 12 1/2 foot boat? She must have ice water in her veins.

I am not sure how anyone with a working heart could be bored in a 350 hydro, especially at the Nationals with 11 other boats surrounding you. The same comment applies to ASH or CSH or CMR or any other outboard class with good participation. Car racing is easy in this regard; the track is going to be the same as the last lap 95% of the time. Not with boat racing, the "track" changes every second and every lap.

Watching the start of 250cc Runabout at the last DePue race (USTS), I commented on how exciting the first two turns were as 11 boats negotiated their way through a ton of spray. Knowing that there were 11 boats even if only 5 were visisible is quite wild.

Perhaps we can get her to attend a race and model her swim suits....to raise money for charity or hydroracer, of course.

Clearly you have no concept of what it means to travel at speeds well over the 200 Mph. I have attended several IRL races in person and the real time speeds in person will blow your mind Dave! Don't discount these young ladies as they are a force to be reckon with and should be given medals of honnor for participating in male dominate sports that would blow your mind. Not to take anything away from boat racing but these young ladies are not racing motors that start with a rope.

Well, I would not turn-down a ride in an IRL car if the opportunity arose. But I see J. Michael Kelly racing just as hard in a 350cc hydro or 500cc Runabout at DePue now and then, as he races in an Unlimied hydroplane. Different speeds, but the same rush perhaps? Probably the same reason Tony Stewart still races sprint cars that will never approach the speed of his Winston Cup cars. But man do they acclerate!!

Good point on the money, but Ellen knew that I am better at spending it than making it when she married me!

How did we get so far off-track? For my money, the flying start of an outboard race is difficult to beat for sheer racing excitement. Danica does look better in a swim suit than either Sam or David L6 however.

100 mph on water is like 300 on land, trust me. Going 100 in a 350 hydro would scare the crap out of most IRL drivers.

Yeah yeah yeah I start racing tunnel boats when I was 15 and have been around boat racing almost half my life just like most of the guys here in HR Net. That said we all know boat racers really stretch the truth about how fast Stock Mod Pro and OPC boats really are.

Kilo's yeah maybe over 100 mph in the larger classes but on an average course I would bet my families life savings that you would be hard pressed to see 100 mph. I have been hearing these high boat racing speeds for over 21 years now

I am not saying that many of you out there have seen the 100 Mph mark but this has got to be a very small group of people.
