With a heavy heart I must inform the racing community that my uncle,, Bob Viola passed away this afternoon at the age of 85. He was diagnosed with a 5-7 cm growth on the right side of his brain. His decision was to not move forward with surgery or chemo. He passed away in his sleep in no pain with his daughter, Wendy Viola Burton at his side. For those that knew him, he was dedicated to the sport. His racing career spanned almost 45 years, winning many National Championships in both APBA and AOF. In the early 90's he was your Mod. V.P.
