Just heard last night that Bill died Monday from complications of leukemia. Bill and his sons were very active with APBA Vintage and Historic Division having several restored inboard hydros that they ran at Vintage events. Bill was a retired NY State Trooper and subsequent local town judge. He had quite a collection of antique boats and motors. Good friend, great guy. Missed him at Pat Davids Memorial Service Monday night and wondered why since he and Pat were good friends; now I know why!

I was younger than Bill, but I grew up on Honeoye Lake and knew him and his boats. He had a great inboard runabout (Century? Chris Craft?) that he ran on the lake. His vintage race boats were (are) beautiful pieces of history. I hope his sons will continue to keep his memory alive with his vintage race boats.
