  • Cart racing cut suit

    Can someone tell me the latest rules on a cut suit and impact jacket or steer me in the right direction where I can get one I see cart racer cut suits for sale on the net and I wonder if they work for boat racing????

    I was looking at kart suits for a while. Apba has very little if any definition to what a cut suit is in the rules last I looked. Really a long sleeve shirt is more cut resistant than a t-shirt type rule. Although it is the obvious intent if the rule that should be used. Uim is Kevlar type 29 or an equivilant. Higher end kart suits may have full Kevlar, or equivilant. But most are just impact areas. It is tough to find out the details on the suits with out going to the manufacture.

      Haven't found the cut suit requirements - probably hidden in some document on the APBA resource page though... Pat Gleason undoubtably knows as he works for SRP.
