  • Roy Heagy

I just learned from Roy Heagy daughter Jenifer, that Roy Heagy died last month from lung cancer.
    Roy was from Spokane, Washington.
    May he rest in peace.

Too bad; too young, a good guy, and a hard way to go out.

Over on the BRF site (and I hope there is no sort of website-envy between Hydroracer and BRF) Ron Hill has set up a section, "In memory of racers no longer with us," with obituaries and memorials. I just posted something for Roy Heagy, but I didn't really know him well, so I'm hoping one of his closer friends will see that post or this one, and go over to BRF and give us a better obituary, more memories. Roy deserves better than to disappear with hardly a trace, even though he was never a big-name racer of the sort who get a lot of ink when they pass away.

Thanks in advance, and sorry I didn't think of it sooner.

Nope, no website envy. Ron and I chat occasionally! BRF is a great historical site and I agree, lost racers should be committed to history on BRF

Well I didn't think there was a problem, but it seems to be easy to violate some peoples' ideas about internet protocol. Do you know anybody from the old Stateline crowd of 35 years ago, who might tell us about Roy? I recall there was a Pringle family of racers, Dennis Westby, a couple named Haskett, I think, . . . oh, wait, you said you know his daughter . . . .
