Hi all,
chillin out resting up for the upcoming tax season. i go into the tax cave in 2 weeks and come out april 15th , see my shadow and know it's 2 weeks until spring millville. i've been reading some of the old apba propeller magazines i've collected over the past few years. it was interesting to read about aj jennings smoking the competition in the j class while alex was beating up the csh class. saw a picture of captain america with his hair helmet and no grey in 1989. gary pond in bsr? really.
then there were the old race sites. region 4 raced in washington dc and west point md. region 3 had a bunch of old sites. netcong nj(1978), lawerenceville pa(1990), mays alnding (1990) i showed my looper collection at an antique engine show there, sunbury pa(1987),collinsville nj(1999, alex jennings was the contact for that race). what happened to all those sites?
the most interesting article was one written by ann fitzgerald in november 1977, inboards at millville on laurel lake. classes from the 72 inboard up to the 7 liters. wow would have liked to have seen them run there.
gonna kick back now and watch welcome to myrtle manor, quality tv. see everone in the spring.
