  • T-12 to T-8

Had a T-12 two light fluorescent light fixture go bad in the workroom the other day. I ended up replacing the ballast with a T-8 instant start electronic ballast. What an improvement! Went from 40 watts T-12 to 32 watts T-8, more light at less cost. What I didn't know, is that the T-12 is being phased out of services. Turned into a good thing! I bought the new ballast at Home Depot. It was an easy change with less wires.

Ditto regarding the T-8's, I really like them when temps get cold......very fast start up.
