  • Where to live in DFW?

I'm starting to do some homework on where to live when I move to the DFW area. My #1 qualifier is that I don't want to be in the suburbs. I don't need a high rise apartment or anything. Just something near the urban core where I'd be able to use metro to go do things.
If anyone has any insight into the DFW area, or any insight into good ways to do some homework on a future move, please let me know.
    -Thanks, Mike Perman 32-R

My daughter lives in the San Antonio area, which is a ways south of where you're looking. She's only been there a couple months and I haven't visited yet. Good luck with your move. I hope your travels allows you to make it to a few of our races

My buddy from HS lives in DFW now. Saw him last week. I could have him give you a call...

Try to get in touch with Ray Hundley, an NBRA driver many of us met at the meeting. He's been in the area forever. Good luck on your move.

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

On our trip to Austin and San Antonio everyone drives crazy fast! It dawned on me that they we're all just trying to get the he!! out of Texas as fast as possible!!!

If I were you I'd commute from Colorado.

I used to live in the Denver area many years ago. When someone would start saying how much they loved Texas and extolled it's virtues we always responded, "if you love Texas so much, take I-25 south."

Sounds good. I-25 till you smell it is what we use to say! Mike is use to traffic, he comes from the Seattle area which is now being considered worse than LA for traffic jams

My cos. lives on lake worth and it's nice. there is an Air base there and you can take your boat down to the edge of the runway and read the letters on the tires of the jet fitters as they come in. (VERY COOL) but too F-en hot down there. I would buy a round trip ticket if I were you. GOOD LUCK WILD BILL

A quick google search for the best place to live in proximity to the DFW airport. Hope this helps...
