      That, and also the coronary arteries dilate after exercise, become larger, and like a water hose that has a nozzle on the end, if the nozzle is opened so more flow occurs, pressure is usually lower. Not always, but usually unless exercise occurs again and the heart is asked to pump more blood and the blood pressure is taken right then without a "cool down" period.

      Same reason the medications for sexual dysfunction like Viagra and Cialis are not advised for someone who has heart problems, as they dilate the arteries also and cause a serious drop in blood pressure and cause problems for someone with heart problems.

      Heat may have some small effect, but probably more the effect of the heart pumping more blood during exercise and making the artery larger, and then the results of that.


      Thanks Powerabout, for bringing up the subject again. Just talking about it a little is making me smarter again, although I am not speaking about the dysfunction medications.
