With a very heavy heart letting everyone know that Katie Billitter passed away Saturday morning. Everyone who knows her will remember what a beautiful lady she was. We all remember the gravy biscuts and put out of Saturday morning. She always had a smile for you at registration. Services will be on Saturday 18th at 11:00 AM at Lakeland Memorial Gardens.

    Katie

    Dear Linda,

Thank you for your help. It took my brain a while but I finally figured out the name of Katie's beloved niece, Vickie.

I remember the after race parties that Katie used to put on. What a great feast and much fun.

Katie was a great lady, I too remember the party she would have at her house during the Lakeland race. I have the last boat her son Trebor owned a 500 Yale Hydro.

I have many fine memories of Katie while racing in region 5. I'm sure she and my Dad are sharing racing stories. My condolences to her family.

Katie was such a great lady. A couple of years ago, she was given the APBA scorer's award at the APBA National Meeting. I'll never forget her short speech. She ended it by saying:

"I just hope that, when the Good Lord comes to take me home, He finds me on the Judge's Stand."

Thank-you, Katie, for all of your good, kind work for boat racers like me. May He grant you peace!

She was indeed a wonderful person. Someone I have known and respected all my life! So much so I named my daughter after her...

Katie, thank you for being such an inspiration in my life. We will miss you!
