Brew Crew racing loses its Founder

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Pittsburgh's Steve & Alan Eckert on the loss of their Father/Grandfather Fred Eckert who passed away July 3. Fred was loved by all TRORA club members he encountered for many years. He was an icon in our club and truly one of the nicest men you'd ever meet. Brew Crew racing was everywhere in the midwest and east coast and Fred was right there keeping things in order. Ironically Steve and Fred went for one final boat ride Monday night on the Ohio River, each having a couple brews. I'm glad they got to share that moment.

Until we meet again Freddy....you will be missed.
