The Italian section of town "The Hill" has some of the best restaurants in town. However, my favorite restaurant/bar is a block and a half from my house in the Soulard neighborhood: The Great Grizzly Bear.
If you like music BB's on Broadway about two blocks south of the ballpark has the blues every night. Good food too.
The National Rifle Convention is in town this weekend as is the Saint Louis GO Marathon. I have run the full marathon once, the half twice and am part of a relay team this year. Sunday morning.
You can try a riverboat cruise - just below the arch. Laclede's Landing is an entertainment center just North of the Arch. Washington Avenue is too, just West of the Landing.
My neighborhood, Soulard, home of the A/B brewery is a mile South of downtown and full of bars and restaurants, most with music. Joanies on Russell has in my opinion the best pizza in town. A block away is Johnny's with very nice looking waitress'. His motto is "We serve good food even though we don't have to".
The downtown part of the city and near South offers a lot. The county is boring. And the North side has nothing to offer.
Crown Candy Kitchen on the North side of the city is great for lunch, shakes, and homemade candy. They actually filmed an episode of man vs food there. Get the heart stopping blt, it is the best!!!!!
Thanks! Just got out of work, getting picked up in 2 hours. All of it sounds good. I'm there for a wedding, but also enjoying the city for three days. Thanks again!
