With the first test ride nearing, I'm beginning to look more seriously at C class boats people have for sale.
I note that some folks mention that the transom is cut for either a 102 or a 302 Yamato.
I take this to mean that the two motors have different length lower units. On the advice of folks already involved in the sport, I plan to use a 302 engine, if the one I am eyeing doesn't sell before I can make my decision.
What is the difference in the transom cut outs for the respective engines?
If a boat is cut to low for the chosen engine, is it a big deal to make a filler block, or do you have to put in a whole new transom?
