  • Racers: Relay for Life!

    Hey,
Last year I was moved by what I saw and heard from the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. So I took the challenge, and with a lot of support from the racing community, was able to raise over $1500 for cancer research. It was wonderful to be able to help people with cancer have a better chance at spending a long and healthy life with their family and friends.

I know most of us are affected by cancer, whether through a family member, friend, or even ourselves. I am currently doing this in honor of Marty Stahl, Rick Jedwabny, Jackie Kaemmer, Gary Whitcomb, and Gail Wolfe. The goal of Relay for Life is to help fight cancer and to create a world with more birthdays. I think this is a wonderful cause, and want to support it as best I can.

So this year, I want to try and do even better. However, I need the help of my boat racing family. Right now I currently have $160 in donations, and want to beat my goal last year to help as many people as I can. I know that with the state of the economy, money is tight. So I'm only asking for whatever you think you can give. Nothing is too small! Plus, 100% of your donation goes directly into cancer research. So, please help us find a cure, and save the lives of so many people.

The walk is on Saturday, April 30th- Sunday, May 1st.
To make a donation, please visit my page:

    Thank you very much!
    Wendy Eldredge

Note: If you cannot donate, that's absolutely okay. Please just spread the word about cancer research. Thanks!

A huge thank you to Mr. Spencer, and I'm getting ever closer.
I'm up to 35% of my goal, and we've got only a few weeks left to make this happen. Thank you to everyone for your support!

I'm up to $535, so we're on our way to $1500.
Anyone got some extra change laying around in a jar? Maybe lost in the couch or something?

Sorry about the Mr....Charlie. This one's about respect, not age (lol). Thank you for the donation.
Wendy's been looking forward to the relay since the end of last year's event. She's even recriuted some friends to participate. We're very proud of her and her efforts to raise money for cancer research.
                Have a great day.

                            Hey everyone,
I'm up to $660.00 now, or maybe $661.00, as one of my teachers generously agreed to donate a dollar on Monday.

I still need everyone's help with this. I really want to reach my goal so that I can help people. So if you've got some spare change lying around in your car or race trailer or something, please help me help others with it. Every little bit counts!

Thank you to everyone who has donated, and everyone who has simply read about what Relay for Life and what the American Cancer Society are, so that we can spread the word about cancer research and hopefully reach out to more people.

                            I hope you're having a good weekend!
                            Wendy

A huge thank you to Rena and John A. Howard for their efforts last year, even though I unfortunately did not recognize them until a few days ago, which once again, I sincerely apologize for.

Time is winding down, and the relay is just at the end of this month. I need all the help I can get if I can get it!

                              Thanks,
                              Wendy
