I knew Jack was going in to have the operation and was giving him a day or so before going to visit him, however, about 7:30 last night the phone rings, I answer it and hear, "Hey Parker what are you doing" It was Jack! Laughing and joking as usual, but I think he was still feeling pretty good from the meds. He told me that he was getting bored watching TV and "Bantering" back in forth with the Doctors and Nurses.
He said at least at the moment he was feeling pretty good and the doctor was going to be in the morning to get him up to walk to the door and back probably around noon. Jack told me that If everything goes okay he should be home by friday. I'll let you know when I hear more. I plan on going to see him when I get out of work this afternoon.

      Get well!

Get well Jack, hope the 'meds" don't make you any less spunky. Hope to see you this summer.

Surgery yesterday morning and up an around some today. No pain what so ever but then I'm on some meds that don't seem to have any side effects. The hospital staff might not agree with me on that. Thanks for all the wishes. Walked about 40 yards today and going out again in a little bit. I never dreamed it would be this easy. Maybe meds talking some more. Jack

              so what you're saying....

              jack,

so what you are saying is that as long as the nursing staff can go further than 40 yards they are safe?

keep up the walking. remember if it's physical it's therapy.

              your buddy,

              frank

I can only recommend that if you are in need of a hip redo and you are holding off because of the dislike of the potential pain, change your thinking. I have had virtually no pain as I have previously mentioned. I am amazed. I told the Dr. this afternoon that he must have sold my new hip on the black market and did not break the skin in my old bod. Had a walk this afternoon with the physical terroist(she's a good looking Marine wife)the entire length and back of the hospital. Good company who takes no prisoners. I'm completely pleased with the surgery. It'll sure be good to no longer gimp around. Jack

                    Jack and the TSA hotties

Jack is just happy now that he'll get extra special attention from all the TSA hotties throughout the country when he goes to the airport.

                    Get well soon!
