  • E15 in NASCAR

YUCK! I hope this doesn't go mainstream and get momentum.

    http://www.nascar.com/video/none/cha...nce/index.html

Growing food for our cars...we (the USA & the oil companies) have lost our moral compass...

It's hard enough to get engines to run worth a crap on E10, let alone having anything sit for over 60 days...even with stabilizer.

On a side note a fairly new product by Starbrite is "Star*Tron, awsome enzyme fuel stabilizer.

That fuel stabilizer is the only stuff recommended over here in Montana by boat shops and ATV/snowmobiles shops. After $750 in repairs it works for us.

If Nascars get about 2.5 miles per gallon now boy do they have a lot more pit stops coming!!!!!!!!!!!!

New fueling system could present problems

Pit crews are needing to adjust pit stops due to larger fuel cans, no catch-can

Indy Cars are using E100 and have been for a few years. Seems to work ok there. Ethanol is not just Corn either, non food plants are gaining favour.

and PRO boats use methanol. Which begs the question, why not M15 or M10 rather than E15 and E10?

You would need an even more specific built engine and fuel sytem for methonal, it's far more corrosive than ethanol and methanol has less BTU's then ethanol. But methanol it much easier/cheaper to produce.
