I met "Dandy Don" once as he was a guest of our squadron for the day. I was in the stag bar at Bergstrom AFB, TX and in he walked. I was amazed how big the guy was. Of course most of those NFL guys are bigger than most folks. He was having a great time with all the squadron guys. I don't remember if he got a ride in our birds though. He will be missed. Jack
