Friday from the OPC Nats in Kankakee was all about the wind. Those choosing to test were in turn tested all day by winds 15 gusting to 35 straight down the front stretch right to left. Only one incedent when Rob Rinker blew over going into the upper (Yacht Club) turn. Rob is fine. The boat suffered sponson tip damaged back to the first frame. John Rinker and John Bower, two guys that have repaired their share of boats looked it over and determined it could be fixed pretty easily. Word is Gary Pugh will be here today...right up his alley. SST 60 pilot Bill Mastro was going through safety inspection and found a damaged steering cable resulting in an easy two hour thrash to replace it with the help of myself and Carole Reno. A good time was had by all. Looking forward to the rest of the weekend.

was watching the live feed and heard somebody mentioned from hancock michigan. didnt hear what they said. anybody know who this is? its a small town here and have never heard fo any other racers other than myself......
