Early Bow Season

Does Montana have an early Bow only season ? I know regular season starts Sept 1. 4 Weeks of fattening that boy up and thwack !!

I know some states in the west (ND) have a season in mid to late August. Talk about mosquito heaven !!

Our archery season is Setember 4th thru October 17th. I have to wait till rifle season to use my cross bow. Rifle season is the last week in October till the end of Thanksgiving weekend.

Bummer !

Michigan just legalized crossbows to be used in the Archery season ! We are very excited about it. Took about 5 years of lobbying, but it got done.

Good luck on that buck !! Might be worth buying a bow tag.... hehehehehe.

I always thought it was stupid to have crossbow in the rifle season. Like you can make a 200 yard shoot with a cross bow,. At least folks in Michigan have common sense when it comes to hunting.
