Thank you
Well, after 2 very hot (and at times quite windy) days of racing, the 2010 Springfield Lake race is in the books. Thanks to those who drove so far to attend. TRORA certainly appreciates the support. Some guys drove as far as Montreal and Maine! Thank you all.
Kudos to Jesse Ward who literally put his heart and soul into this year's event. He went to MANY meetings including one at 11:30pm Sat night! Also to his wife Tara who also did a lot and put up with a lot of late nights.
Again thanks to all those for 2 great days of racing. The 11-boat CSH race was certainly fun and exciting to be part of!Last edited by Brew56; 07-19-2010, 12:38 PM.

A Great Weekend of Racing in Springfield, Ohio
Thank you to everyone, especially Jesse Ward, for the hard work put into this past weekend's "Rock the Docks" Regatta in Springfield, Ohio, hosted by Three Rivers Outboard Racing Association!
It was a great turnout and a ton of fun for all!!
Thanks again to all that attended, helped out and participated in this event!

There are so many people to thank for a very sucessful "Rock the Docks" event.
Jesse and Tara Ward both put in a ton of time and effort to making this race the success it was and both deserve a ton of praise. Also, thank you to our "rookie" Chief Scorer Amy Sweeney who did a terrific job. Referee's Jerry and Jack Brewster, Inspectors Jeff Williams and Larry Spencer and Pit Boss Jon Brewster for all their hard work in keeping everyone legal and on task. To all the drivers from IOA and MHRA, as well as the long distance travelers from Canada and New England who came a long way - thank you all for coming and I hope a 4:00 finish on Sunday was early enough to get everyone on the road at an decent time.

Thank You....
Thanks to all involved with making this event the success that it was. Beautiful site, great weather (that was normal wind for a Region One Event!) and fantastic people. It was nice to put faces to the names that we read about in the Propeller.
Although he did not race, Bill Giles was having such a good time socializing that we had to request that the announcer page Bill over the PA system to inform him that his ride was leaving.
Looking forward to 2011..........

Again, as Brian, Jerry, and Jon said Thank You everyone who participated in this event. It was a lot of work especially as a "Rookie" race director moving to a new site, but it was worth it. I hope everyone had fun and got a chance to enjoy the carnival rides and fireworks. When I left last night the Rock the Docks commitee was very happy and want to start making plans to come back next year already.Jesse Ward 15-S

I would also like to give a big thanks to everyone involved in setting this race up. Even though I had many, many troubles getting there (2 flats on my trailer & my pit crew canceling to name a few) it was one of the best races I have been too and a big thanks to all of the racers that took the time to come over and give me a few pointers to make my Sunday run of the race the best I have done so far. I am looking forward to meeting all of you next time. (Maybe in Lock Haven)
Good Luck and Happy Racing...It's Fast, It's Furious & It's Fun
