This is a note to let you west coasters know that my father Hod Reins, an 88 year old WWII Combat Veteran and extraordinary boat builder, was admitted to Southwest Medical Center, 400 Northeast Mother Joseph Place, Vancouver, Washington late last night. He is in room 8123. He has a broken hip and his one and only kidney is not working well. His health is not good.
His in on painkiller and was not very coherent last night. So I do not know if you would be able to speak to him if you called.
I am waiting for reports this morning on the prognosis. I maybe out there in the next day or two.
I just wanted you guys to know. Looks like Ol' Hods engine and hull has gone beyond rebuilding and he may only have a few laps left.
If you guys have time to see him I am sure he would like that. If you want me to give him a message call me on my cell as I do not get on hydroracer very often 817-913-3063.
