I finally got the aiming right on our helmet mounted cameras. What was really surprising was the GPS readout, on this run we hit 54.0 MPH, I thought it was a fluke, next run was 51.9MPH. We went for it on our second to the last run and hit 59.4MPH; I have finally skied faster than my ASH runs!

59.4 was done on my short all mountain 170 cm Volkl's, I'm far more comfortable on my 190 cm Atomics’ for all out speed.

25XS speed was my aim about 8 years ago until the recreational speed skiing event at Mt Hood Ski Bowl was retired because of a chair lift haul rope being lowered (too close to ground and the speed trap couldn't meet safety requirements after that). Speeds were close to 100mph at the time. I purchased a pair of Rossignol 3G Giant Slalom 208 cm race stock skis, for this event, 203 cm minimum length requirement.

We're going to Mt Bachelor this weekend; I'll take the long boards and GPS and post my results Wednesday...
