For 17 yrs I have been apart of this boat racing community. I don't think I need to express what that relationship means to me (or my family) ... as you all know, the relationship that each of us have with one another is a special bond.
I share a similar bond with the military community. I'm a military brat. My brother is a 3rd generation military man. He's has been enlisted for 16 yrs., and is currently on his 2nd deployment in the Middle East. After his first deployment in 2006, I made it my personal goal to do whatever I could to "give back", unite the families of his unit during deployment, and to promote support for our troops.
With that being said I want to share something with you.... this information is for "anyone who has ever worn a dog tag or loves someone who did". This information is also for those who have always wanted to "give back" - but didn't know how!
I have been invited to work on a project called "dotwarrior". At some point, whether I shared this with you or not, you will hear about it! We have just obtained an HBO endorsement - and will be working with Chance Kelly (Generation Kill) on an Ad Campaign. As the days go on - we will be heavy hitting the main news outlets (TV/Cable, Newspapers/Online Publications, etc.) I am part of that marketing campaign - however my job is to hit the social networks, blog spots, etc. And that's why I'm here.... on Hydroracer!
To grasp the significance all of this - I am currently working with Capt. Dale Dye (USMC, ret), the premier military advisor to Hollywood (Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, Forrest Gump, etc.) and author of Platoon. I am also working with John Del Vecchio (best selling author of the Vietnam Triology "The 13th Valley" and Fox News Military/Political Commentator... these are only two of the several partners involved.
I know I haven't actually detailed WHAT "dotwarrior" is... however please visit http://dotwarrior.info and it will outline everything you need to know! (Please make sure the volume is turned up!)
Currently this is in the "pre-registration" phase. Our goal is to have 500,000 pre-registered users by the end of January. Pre-Registration is FREE... with no obligation to get involved... but just by providing your contact info. this will help us in our journey!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions? My only request is that you help me by getting this information out there as far and wide as you can reach. This is about our Veterans, Active Duty, Recruits, JROTC/ROTC, Family/Friends... and anyone who cares out our US Military.
