      Hey Bob,

Welcome to the club this Sept. 19th will mark the one year anniversary for me having my first Hernia operation. Take it easy and don't rush the healing process. My healing process has taken almost a year to the day to fully recover and feel 100%

I had the patch method done which still feels weird from time to time.

Don't rush it Bob. I had knee surgery (second time on my left knee) June 15th fully expecting to be ready to race at the 2009 NBRA Nationals. Here I am one month after the 2009 NBRA Nationals and I'm still not ready / able to race (and a lot of other stuff that I want to do). Just doing something as simple as going up and down steps is still a challenge. Kneeling in a hydro is one of the things I want to do that is still out of the question. My boat and motor won the NBRA Short Course Nationals South this year (with Racin' Ralph Cook driving it for me). The NBRA Short Course Nationals North is coming up very soon. I'd love to be able to go race but I just can't do it yet. My knee can't take it.

I'm glad that things have gone well for you so far. Just take it easy for a while and don't rush it. Make sure that you are completely healed and off of all pain medication first.

You gotta take everything "Slow & Easy" for a while, You don't wanna go back and have it done over again, Watched that happen to my Son, TWICE, and it costs alot more the 2nd time too

I'm going in on Monday morning for the laproscopic double wammy. Is it safe to say I can forget about Jesup on 10/24-25?

They really do need to lighten up that 102!

Good luck Phil, sure you can go to Jesup if all you plan on doing is sitting in a lawn chair all day zipping on an ice cold drink

Check with yoru doctor first since you dont want to end up in the ER I had the patch method done just under a year ago on my left side and it has taken almost a complete year to heal 100% and feel normal. Sad part is after standing up all day at work a few days ago I got that weird feeling on the left side which means I might have new buddy coming out on the left side

I hope it goes well for you.Its not as bad as when i had my last one done the old way but i did have a rough night last night and i can sure tell when the norco wears off.You wont be racing at Jesup but you could heal quicker just take it easy and make sure you have a pillow to push on your stomach when you cough.Take it easy.

                    Hernia

Glad it went well. Had a double done two years ago. Couldn't lift too much for a few weeks, but it wasn't bad. Good luck
