  • Mean Streak Racing Loses a Friend.

Our friend Rick Bird is right now attending the funeral of one of his very close friends. His 'brother' Phillip "Pip" Pizzi was killed in a car wreck on August ninth on his way back from the Sturgis Bike Festival. And today, on his parent's 41st anniversary, he is being laid to rest. Born on May 2, 1970, Pip and Rick had been friends for many many moons. He was one of the founding members of Mean Streak Racing, before it reached nationwide notoriety and membership. Pip was the person Rick entrusted to look after his place when he was on his infamous cross-country nationals trips. He made it to some races with Rick out west, even cooking, which he loved to do, for the racers at the Kilo runs a couple of times. Most of us here were not fortunate enough to have met Pip in his time on earth, but be sure to look for him when we've all passed on to the other side, he'll be sitting right next to Rick in the circle.

    Rest in Peace Pip

Ryan Thanks, and My Very Loved Extended Family. It Is Times Like This This That We Know Who True Friends, And Family Are And Mean To Us. Pip Was A True Hero As He Gave His Life To Save Or 3 Loved Ones That Were With Him. Next Race Season When I Do Race I Will Be Racing For My Brother As I Am Sure He Will Be Rideing With Me. And Evry Time I Fire Up The Grill It Will Be For Him And I Promise Not To Burn The Meat. All I Can Say Is That We Have Taken A Big Hit On The Westside Of The Leftcoast And He Would Tell Me To Race On And Just Be Happy For The Time We Have With Friend And Family. Good Or Bad.

Ps Come By The Pits At The 20010 Nats For The The Pbr Will Be Cold And Grill Will Be Hot And Filled With Love And Good Eats, Because This Is What Pip Was Waiting For To Hang And Feed My Extended Race Family On There Long Journey West.
