WOW..that looks intense. I am hoping it passed over and nothing serious happened.

      no problem

the tornado was well to the south of us and developed after we were done racing for the day.

Saturday light rain and no wind, Sunday sunny and no wind, done racing at 3:45 pm. Thanks to all of those who attended and helped put on the race. it was a fun weekend.

Nope. No Photoshop tricks going on here. That's Jace Scheffler in JSR tucked down so far and in the back of the boat that you can't even see him. The kid is a rocket.

I just think that it's the boat number that makes him fast!

Here I thought maybe the tornado had swallowed up Jace.

Welcome to hydroracer, we hope you enjoy your visit.

Not to take away from the Rocket part, but I'm sure that's not safe Wasn't there some discussion about this type of driving a few years ago on here??? What do the referee's say/think about this?

And people think we can't see well in laydowns.....wow

Look how high the side boards are. How do you know he can't see?

                          Rochelle

Great race site, good size course, and great weather on Sunday!

Thanks to the MRC/BSOA crew for a well run race!

As an added bonus, the race site is on the corner of 2 Interstates so a lot of people get some exposure to boat racing, even if it is only briefly. I had quite a few people stop me at work today to let me know they saw boats racing...many of them stopped by to watch the race.

How do you not know hes a little dude? Ever seen Ryan Thompson drive his brothers Sorensen AXSR? You can barely see him !! Not to dismiss the dangers of unpractical and unsafe driving styles, but we shouldn't exclude that maybe, he's just a little dude.

Oh and, Mike, everytime I've driven a laydown. I can see great!

Jace is a little dude (sorry buddy!) and he is often really low in the boat. If I am not mistaken, he was just that low for a quick second at the finish line and someone happened to snap the picture at just that instant. I can assure you that Jace is a safe and responsible driver.
