Very difficult to convey any words that have not already been previously posted. I am so glad we made the trip to Raleigh and I got to BS with Pops on a number of nights. There are very few people you meet in your life that are genuine. Whether you were a complete stranger, or knew him all your life, Pops made you feel like family. You could bring up a conversation you had a couple of years ago and feel like you were just talking a few of hours previous. Funny Sr. mentioned Yelm in the above post. He was telling me how much he'd like to visit the NW again. He'll be there this year in spirit, and in our hearts! On or off the course, Pops was a true ambassador to the sport of boat racing and life in general. He will truly be missed.

Bob Trolian, Friend
We feel so honored to have known Bob for so many years. He is a guy that we have admired for so long due to his generosity and support for others.
He was a special part of our lives. We were fortunate to have met him through boat racing. We are better for it. Now, he will be missed.
Our condolences to the entire Trolian family.

My fondest memories of Bob was from Whitney Point this year.. The RaceCraft RV was right across from mine in the parking lot. Every night it seemed they had a big gathering for dinner before any of the official festivities. After seeing all of the posts I understand more how he was such a family man. I know he delighted in everyone hanging out family or friends. He also gave me some great advice after I ran in the back of the pack in the 20SS finals. He said if I would have had a RaceCraft hydro I would have been battling for the lead!!!! My prayers go out to the Trolian family....

Pops is gone...
I was a sad phone call for me when I heard the Pops Trolian passed away.....While I did not know him as well as some of you on the east coast, he always had a kind word for me when he saw me at nationals or at a national meeting....He also gave me a lot of encouragement getting stuff ready for 2007 stock nationals...I will never forget him for that alone...I feel so bad for the Trolian family and those close to him. He will be missed. Dave Anderson, D stock hydro.

My dear friend Bob....
I have tried all week to sit down and put into words what you meant to me. I now realize there are way too many. You have touched me so deeply in my life and I will carry on just as you would have if this situation was switched.
I wonder how long I will continue to look for you in the pits, my friend.
I will miss argueing with you, laughing with you, and most of all I will miss hearing your unmistakeable voice that I can still hear in my mind.
Take care, my friend....see you in the pits another day.

I was at a loss for words when I heard the news of Pop passing. It is always hard to lose someone that has touched so many of our lives. Pop was a great man that cared so much about the racing community and even more about the people in it. Even away from the racing scene Pop opened his arms up to anyone that needed the help. He will truly be missed, my thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Trolian family!

Condolences
My first memory of Ponch goes way back to Keyport NJ, when he worked on boats in an old warehouse. He was a true sportsman in every sense of the word. Always willing to help anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by his family and his extended boat racing family. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Linda and the entire Trolin family. He will be remembered in our prayers. Rest in Peace Ponch. Look down upon all your racing buddies, as they will be thinking of you as they push for that win.
Sincerely
Bill and Jane

To A Great Person!
Ponch/Pops was the best, he meant a ton to everyone that knew him.... He was always that smiling face that you would soon see after entering the race site, whether it was Friday night, Saturday morning or even on Sunday. He always cared about everyone and especially the kids. I/we will always remember what he sounded like, his advice, and how his positive attitude and kindness touched us every racing weekend and for those that were more fortunate, the non-racing days.
My heart goes out to the entire Trolian Family, Team Racecraft, and All of the Boat Racing Family!
Take care and god bless my good friend Mr. Bob Trolian,
Jon Brewster
