does anyone have a spare 330? as in conibear 330. lol
the small stump on the left in the first pic. WAS a maple I had planted about 6 years ago. the larger tree I planted a year or two after we got the place. It is a hybrid Poplar. I just went out and measured it 76 inches in cir***ference about a foot up from the ground (26 inches in diameter)

      Opportunity knocks!

Hey Kevin, take advantage of the help here. Once they knock the tree down for ya' get it off to the sawmill and use the lumber for a new hydro. You and Gene probably need a winter project and you could always use a new style hydro.

        Lol POPS
I have been wondering what the specs are on hybrid poplar. For a tree that is as fast growing as it is. It seems very strong. A small 1 inch or so diameter branch is extremely hard to break in comparison to many other trees and really light when it is dry. It is very straight grained also. Too bad I didn't keep trimming lower branches off as it grew.
On the other hand with this tree you can just stuff branches in the ground during a winter thaw. and many of them will grow in the spring. with just a little TLC most of them will make it.

Pops You do not like our vintage pickleless Hemp? I think Sam told me once what year he built it, but i do not remember when it was. Sam?
I Picked up Gee's old 4W at the tail end of the season. Now we can try some things we have wondered about with the Hemp.

You may be able to justify the cost of buying a 330.Consider the value of other trees and the fact that an average size beaver has a lot of good meat,a big delicious liver, and a tail that makes fantastic soup base.

              Electric hot dog

When I was a kid we had a neighborhood dog who was a mennace. So we took a hot dog an old extention chord a paper clip and a few rubberbands and made an electric hot dog and ran the chord out a basement window. 5 am ...breakers snapp'n like popcorn and dog yelp'n...That helped for about 3 weeks. Then it started again. so I took a pound of hamburger and a box of X lax and made about 50 magic meatballs and put them all over the yard. Dog has not been seen since.
