    There are not enough words

These racing things seem to be pretty insignificant compared to the FREEDOMafforded us by all of our service men and women.

For all those who serve and protect...

I say thank you for my freedom that we have in this great country.

I specifically want to say good luck to my brother-in-law who has been to Iraq and is training for his second deployment overseas in early 2009.

Being 22 years old and being responsible for a 5 million dollar aircraft and two men's lives every day wasn't something I thought about much. Sure seems pretty big now...........
I'm proud of what I did to serve my country and I'd do it again if I could. I am more proud of the men and women who serve today and hope that there will be many others who feel the same way about serving their country.
Thanks to all of the veterans and military people who serve all over the world to preserve our freedom so that we can enjoy life as we know it .

First off, thank all of the veterans for their service. I sleep safely at night because of what you do. I would have been in as well if health problems were not a factor. What we all take for granted every day is what your blood, sweat and tears do for us when you are asked. There is no way we can all thank you enough.

All of that being said, one thing that caught my eye was the above post. My, how things have changed! The seven passenger Cessna Citation that I fly costs about 6.2 million. The 50 passenger CRJ that I used to fly was worth about 25 million plus. A new F-22 has a dollar amount (roughly) of around 339 million per aircraft. Once all 183 ordered fighters are built, that cost will drop to only about 138 million per copy. Crazy when you think about it, huh? It only feels better when you realize that the B-2 bomber has a cost of around 2.2 billion per copy. (Keep in mind that the Raptor/Spirit numbers are involving development costs.)

Thank you to all the men and women serving today and who served in the past. I particularly thank my son Marine Sergeant Philip Weiss who went to Afghanistan on 12-1-1 with the First Marine Expeditionary Unit to protect our country in an uncertain time. After returning he reenlisted and served in Iraq
during 2003-2005 because in his words he didn't feel right leaving his Marine brothers behind. America The Land of the Free Because of the Brave.

something that was forwarded to me.......

There is a huge rock near a gravel pit on Hwy. 25 in rural Iowa.. For generations, kids have painted slogans, names, and obscenities on this rock, changing its character many times. A few months back, the rock received its latest paint job, and since then it has been left completely undisturbed.

It's quite an impressive sight. Be sure to scroll down and check out the multiple photos. (all angles) of the rock.

I thought the flag was draped over the rock, but it's not. It's actually painted on the rock too .
