12 G's and 280 mph the pilot is seconds away from passing out! due to the speed and G's

It is huge out here. Drew the same crowd as the thunderboats. They run it at North Island Naval Station. Several P-51 Mustangs, one Allison and the rest Griffon powered with 2' cut off each wing. Airobatics planes with 3000 HP 9 cylinder radials, they had it all there.

I guess you learn something new every day I had no idea the crowds were so massive at these events. The series was featured on Speed TV's 9pm Wind Tunnel show this evening which left me in total awe! simply amazing! so how does the human body take 11-12 G's and not black out? Nascar and F1 cars only feel roughly 2 to 3 G's in the corners.

If only boat racing could do the same thing....

Go to the partners page of there web site it appears that they have a few corporate sponsors but not a ton looks like RedBull foots the bulk of the tab.

how does the human body take 11-12 G's and not black out? Nascar and F1 cars only feel roughly 2 to 3 G's in the corners.

Only a few freaks of nature as rare as Michael Phelps can handle super high G's and they have to be wearing a "G suit" that uses pressure to squeeze blood out of their arms and legs to counteract the G's. The G suits were made to extend the capabilities of near normal fighter pilots a few more G's ... the freaks, well they are freaks ...

No G-suits

I've actually seen on tv, or the internet, that they don't allow g-suits in this series. It's not impossible for the human body to withstand that amount of g forces, but it requires constant physical training.

This series just blows my mind! its just hard to understand how these guys do this without blacking out.
