No, but I have Herbie Davenport's yummy Camden Pig-Pickin' BBQ sauce; hope he'll let me submit it for the cook book.

Ummm... apparently the old spam blocker has been set a little high. For those of you who actually HAVE submitted recipes, please re-submit to ninerp@verizon.net, and also CC iane31@verizon.net. Sorry about that "hate the children deal...."

I have to agree that $10 is a very fair price.

Big Pappa might contribute. He, his wife and son compete Nationally on the B-B-Q circuit. They were at Lake Wales and Frostproof.
They do everything in the smoker, main courses, appetizers, dessert,....
He has a sausage and cheese stuffed jalepeno recipe that is outrageous.
He writes a monthly article for a hunting magazine and includes race results.

I'll give them a call tomorrow.

              Maryland Crab Dip

My wife has offered up her Maryland Crab Dip recipe for this endeavor. The photo I want to submit for this page is the one Garrett Kline took of Luke racing J Hydro last year at Lock Haven, the one that appeared in Propeller magazine.

Rick, You'll just have to put a bag of spice in the book then so everyone can cook Mama's recipes.

Great idea Ryan. But the cookbook with the "free" bag of spice should be available as an optional package for the low donation of only $15.

                                Design Suggestion

This cookbook is a collective effort of individuals donating their time and certain "available" (free) resources. Nina Augustine is compiling recipes in a Word do***ent, sorting them into categories, and can add clip art/decorative graphics to pages. Pat Augustine is designing a color cover and Mary Williams will print the color covers from an "available" color printer. Janet Stoy is making copies from a high speed copier and spiral binding them.

I suggest we make this a "Design Your Own Page" cookbook. Design your page(s) with your recipe(s) and include whatever graphics or photo you like in WORD FORMAT and send it to Nina, then the page can easily be added to the master do***ent. Bear in mind though, the recipe pages will be printed in black and white to save costs. We can spruce up pages if you just want to submit the recipe.

We initially discussed including photos but did not want to be in the position of having to pick and choose which photos to include and hurt anybody's feelings if their photo was not included. You picking the photos to be included solves that problem.

The cookbooks will be available at the National Meeting, at races next season, and by mail order. I am willing to front some of the cost for mail orders as my own contribution to this project, but if we get a significant number of mail order requests, we will simply ask you to include the postage with your donation (only "actual" postage, no crazy exorbitant shipping costs!). I will supply mailing envelopes from an "available" resource.

So if you like this idea, get your creative juices flowing. Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with.

                                Janet
