  • Need your Prayers!

Okay, it's time to gather together and pray for all in Hurricane Gustav's path. This is a MONSTER of a storm. We also want to pray for the safety of those trying to get home from the race in Pineville, LA. God Bless! Please keep us all in your prayers!

Along with prayer, lets hope that the mayor of the chocolate city uses common sense this time and makes sure their are drivers for buses to get people out of harms way rather than pointing fingers after his screw up when the storm settles.

I heard last night that this storm, (Gustov) could easily reach Cat 5 and New Orleans is in the strike zone.

We'll put them in our prayers and hope for the best.

Looks like this one is coming to see you Shane. Ya'll take care down there.

Sorry I didn't make the race yesterday. Ralph couldn't get off work and I couldn't get in touch with Jason (didn't know if he was there or not....). By the time Jason called me back (~10:00 a.m.) I had already unloaded everything. Had I tried to load back up and come down after I talked to Jason I would have gotten there at about the time everyone was leaving.

              Update

The storm has worked out better than we thought. Looks like tomorrow I'll be able to go test in the field behind my house!
Seriously, for all who is keeping up with the hurricane, it looks like everyone will be fine here in Louisiana as long as they stay out of New Orleans. Then again, I'd say that any day of the year.

                Yep . . .

got the day off and I've been watching the storm news. So far minimal wind damage, but there's always storm surge and rain, rain, rain. Overall the prognosis looks good. Hopefully the storm will poop out with no fatalities on it's scorecard.

Shane, and all in the path of Gustav,

You are in our prayers, as are all of the folks in New Orleans. Wonder how many times we have to top the levees before we actually build them up, and overhaul the swamp land at the mouth of Might M. to hold storm surges.

Had a good race at Ft. Gibson, hope yours went well at ALEX.

                      Whew

Glad things are okay Shane, from what i hear you don't need to test any more, keep the SEH on the trailer and go whip some azz.

Hope all the racers, and all the people for that matter get through all the flooding and storms down that way.

                        Whew!!!

I just want everyone to know that we are still here. I have no internet still, I'm at the library right now. It was a rough storm, but we all made it through well. We have trees down in the yard, but none on our house. We were blessed! We got our power back on Saturday night, finally! I will post some pictures when I get our internet up. Thanks for all of the prayers. Now, let's pray that Ike stays away from us and our Texas friends. God Bless!
