Laurie:
Happy Birthday to you! Don't know if you will remember me...
I used to travel with & pit for the guys from Rumson - back when you were a mere baby.. Have great memories of you & your brothers; the most dynamic family I've ever met! (and I mean that in a good way).
I ran into Billy at Lambertville (first race I've been to in.... what, 20 years?) He brought me up to speed on what you guys have been up to. It was great seeing him and catching up. Trying to arrange my schedule so I can get to Whitney Point for a day or two. Will you be there? If so, I'll buy you a birthday cocktail, now that you're finally 21.
Hope you have a great day!
I was going to post a nice picture of Billy and Bobby Austin taken at Lake Wales but I don't think I can post it because there were a couple birds in flight.
Enjoy the day, and Thanks again for the help with my boat transport! I still owe you a Root Beer.

Otto,
Of course I remember! We had to pull the car over on the way to Lowell so you could throw up.
Also, you uttered those famous words of disgust: "Who the hell put FOOD in the cooler?!"
Nice to hear from you!
XOXO
Laurie
Laurie:
I'm glad I left such a lasting impression. When I saw Billy at Lambertville, he brought that up, too. Said "David still talks about it!!" Too bad you can't make Whitney Point... perhaps I'll catch up with you at Lockhaven.
John:
You're right, it has been more than 20 years!! I also got to shoot the with breeze with Worm at Lambertville, and got to meet Dylan (another Runne champion! You can't top good breeding!) Worm tried to bring me up to speed on the Runnes/Pomphreys/Gallaghers, but my eyes glazed over and I felt faint. Sure hope to see you guys at Whitney Point and hear the whole saga.
Regards (and my apologies for going "off topic")
otto
