Ok Dave, soon as Pat chimes in one more time its lights out for this thread. By the way Pat sure hard work never hurt anyone but what about that poor guy that never missed a day of work for the last 20 years then out of the blue has a stroke at his desk. Poor guy looses everything he worked for all his life trying to keep his self alive after spending just a week or two in intensive care.

Interesting article in Fortune magazine a couple months ago about the future economy. The most stable domestic jobs will be those that are place-based - where the work has to be done on US soil (like pouring concrete). Manufacturing, communications, technology, yes even solving problems on big deals will eventually be done offshore by people that will do it for less money and less benefits. And we'll sit back and let it happen because it is good for the bottom line.

The question to ask yourself is whose bottom line is it good for? Has the rising tide truly lifted all boats? Globally, yes. Domestically, not so much. Shipping a lot of jobs offshore that were once done here has changed the nature of the middle class and increased the divide (I'll let someone else play the illegal immigration card on that one) between wealthy and not so weathly - I don't think one can really give Mr. Obama credit for driving the wedge, only possibly exploiting it.

Hey 112R - didn't know you hated yourself

My Point give them less dollars and they can't buy out anything less less less taxes you hear me
Obama will tax more and businesses are scared of this so I believe just the threat of more taxes has already caused some of this inflation I for one have raised my prices and guess what my customers have said yessss

You can blame the unions for 20 years of ungreatful service . Just another example of greed but not Corporate but stockholders who want more and most stockholders are Cops, school teachers, goverment workers, Fireman all union people the unions are the greedy people today. They donate the most at ellection time.(got another bridge)

Most hard working trades man can not afford stock, and the stock holders that have benifits wanted more so they complained to the CEO's he said USA employee cost to much(not wage but bennies and ins. and unemployment ins and so on0 we can go overseas and save all that so the union stock holder say screw them go overseas where there are no bennies hence China's growth, japan,Tiwan and so on thank you Democracy
              Last word

Sorry Pat it seems like David had more more thing to get off his chest

I had to do work for a greedy company that wishes to make money for its stock holders.

That guy at his desk should have bought disability insurance. It's a great product, but does not provide immediate gratification. I carry as much as I can, but it does not cover boat racing "events" very well. I am more likely to have a stroke at my desk reading a Hydroracer post!!!!!!!!
