    I would like to see.....

Lower Taxes and More encouragement to invest in the US

Less Government Spending on Wasteful Projects

    Continued Security of our Borders

More Nuclear Energy and More Domestic Drilling (to protect our future)

Fewer Wind Farms that destroy hundreds of thousands of birds including hundreds of Golden and Bald Eagles (our National Bird and a Treasure) (I am not a tree hugger, but I do enjoy nature greatly)

A President that wears her or his patriotism on her/his sleeves

A President that says what she or he believes and not what he or she believes that I want to hear.

A President that can say, "I do not know, but I will find out and then answer you".

      next big idea

      Ya want change?

      Check this out.

      http://www.fairtax.org/site/PageServer

For anyone that never heard of the Fair Tax Movement here's a short summary.

The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including:

A progressive national retail sales tax.
A prebate to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level.
      Dollar-for-dollar federal revenue neutrality.
Repeal of the 16th Amendment through companion legislation.

The secret to making it work is an economic concept called embedded taxes. Do your own research, make up your own mind.

Ok good ones Dave but my number one thing is an Army Corps of Engineers able to build Levees that will not drown all Americans. I mean lets be real here the Levees in New Orleans have already started to leak again! Do we have the dumbest engineers in the world here in the states or what ?

We are the most powerful country in the world with the weakest infrastructure, our bridges collapse on us our levees break and drown us I mean really is this the US or Honduras ?

                notice one thing

Everyone has made good points, not that I agree with All of them, but there is one similarity. We are all concerned with how things are going in our own country! Our current guy stayed in Europe as the mid west flooded and he stays in Iraq while the majority has wanted us out for a long time. I know there are problems abroad, but what help can we be to others, when we cannot even take care of ourselves.

The New Orleans levee problem is easy to solve ... don't live below sea level. Its like living in Death Valley and complaining about the heat.

Yeah, and then they go ahead and rebuild it...

With new wind turbines having blades 100+ feet long or something rediculous like that and can reach a maximum speed or like 1 rev. a second or less I don't think you have to worry about birds being chopped up... How many birds are killed by cars a year, let alone the polution the car creates.

But the wind farm really provides little power and coal fired plants provide a lot of power. Perhaps a better trade off? I read an article where on wind farm in Cali kills over 100,000 birds per year. The coal plants need to be incentivezed to operate as cleanly, efficiently as reasonably possible.

The nukes should be allowed to expand, but with the answers in hand to deal with the waste.

And the waste disposal cost needs to be addressed up front and factored into the per kilowatt charge over the entire life of the plant ... not born by the local population or federal government after the plant is shut down. It is a clear operating cost, not something deferred to future generations while the original investors reap huge profits. Leaving this cost out is one of the things that makes nuclear power "cheap"

Spain gets almost 1/3 of their power from Wind and are planning on expanding. The biggest problem with wind energy is its itermitten, on and off as it gets windy and lows down. There are people designing wind farm to produce hydrogen and store it, then the hydrogen can be used to power cars and whatnot.

Like I said before the new Wind Turbines aren't these small faster spinning buzz saws that dixe birds up, They are HUGE slow turning things that produce upwards of 3 kilawattz hours of elecricity (assuming my terminology is correct)

ADD: and if they run into these huge windmills they are just as likely to fly into the sides of buildings....

You are all boat racers and understand competition, Mr Obama also understand competition but his views are based around Basketball,Football,Baseball and the like all
great Sports. But running the country someone needs to understand we are in a global competition for goods services and energy and we are loosing the game. Our unions have also forgotten business is about competition and the American workers desire to compete at the job place is greatly deminished, hence the reasons for goods and services being produced over seas. This is also the reason the number of Illegals keep growing in this country, the Am worker is in a very bad position right now and our young will learn to say do you want fries with that or maybe cash or credit very well if Borack has his way.
