Augustine Racing loses it's matriarch

Lucille "G.G." Augustine, wife of the late John "pop" Augustine; mother of several current and former racers - Dave Sr.,
Gary, Tom, and Marg; grandmother of Dave Jr., Ian, and Sean, died quietly this afternoon. No plans have been made for a service.

gg's watching pop race now

to all the augustine clan,

davey called me this afternoon to tell me of gg's passing. it's sad to see someone like gg and pop pass from us, but they will always be in our hearts. as long as they are there they will always be with us. i have the memories of those racing days and they are all good. years after i stopped racing and began refereeing college football i would always stop to chat with both pop and gg before my ref meetings that were around the corner. we would chat about those days of yesteryear and what was going on now. i use one of his 4 blade props as a paper weight in my office, well it's actually 3 1/2 blades.

pop and gg are together again. we will all see them again.

To all the Augustines on your loss,

Take comfort in that she lived a long life, able to not only watch her sons & daughters grow up to become great people but also her grandchildren. And the icing on the cake is she got to meet her great-grandchildren and be a part of their lives. We all would wish for a life filled with love and a wonderful family, as the one GG had.

Pat, Dave and the entire Augustine Family,
With tears in my eye's I write this to express our sorrow in the passing of GG.
They are not sad tears but happy one's. To know that she is once again with the love of her life "Pop". I'm sure the two of them are smiling down from heaven upon all of us. After talking to GG at Pop's service I was sure she wouldn't be with us to much longer as her heart had already gone with him.

For those of you who never had the pleasure to meet Pop and GG let me assure you that these were two of the kindest people that God has ever put on this earth.

I will always have the fund memories of sitting in the kitchen with just the two of them enjoying a sandwich that GG would make while Pop and I would sit at the table and talk shop

May God bless the entire Augustine family as they are truly some of the finest folks I have ever met in my entire life.
