A lot of shots at the Pens

But I guess having the most horsepower of the teams left standing will put the bulls-eye on you. They haven't had this much star power since Mario, Coffey and the rest. The Penguins are getting the job done and are still very young. They should be a fixture in the finals for years to come. As for the "cherry picking", I guess when 4 can cover 5 without too much risk, that free's up somebody for the breakaway.

Pens & Wings in the final and Pens in 5. Sid gets to hoist the hardware for the 1st time (but not the last).

I do not get to say Brian is wrong often but I hope you take disapointment. Malkin scored short handed so it was 4 on 5 and he still was cherry picking! That does not say much for the Philly D. agreed. (Speedy recovery KimmoTimonen)

Fronzen is a huge loss but it will not kill the wings. If Crosby, Malkin, Hossa or Fuery goes down the pens will not beat Philly!

If Pittsburgh wins again then you can start thinking about the finals.

This is for all of you Penguin fans!

As a Red Wing fan this is the only Penguin I fear!

You caught me - did not get to see the game, only saw what was on Sportscenter. One of the sad things about living in Cleveland (will not even mention the Clowns, er Browns) is I get more than enough LeBron and no puck action. Zero hockey coverage except a few Bluejacket games. After the lockout and NHL lost it's ESPN coverage, unless you have a team in your city, it is really tough to follow along.

That was the worst call I have ever seen! The Holmstrom goal that was allowded was questionalble, but tonight... that was a joke. Dallas did play well. Good for Dallas. Go Philly! LOL

              Sad Refs

Even the Dallas commentators were babbling about the calls..... and that is sad. That's okay, just brings us home to win the series Saturday.

This begs for the question...When exactly did the tradition of the officials putting their whistles away for the playoffs start and why......?

I don't understand how they make almost no calls for an entire game( while there are clearly rules being broken) and then suddenly out of no ware, they call something very minor or even questionable and thus changing the entire out come of a game.........Nope I just don't get it.

                  Makes No Sense

                  I hear ya Jeff....

I have been banned from watching any more Red Wing games.... my friends think I put a curse on them... so since I won't be watching, for fear of the new FEH hull being painted a color I don't like, I ain't gonna watch !

I got home from racing Sat at Burlington to see the last couple of minutes in the second period and the entire third, when Detroit stoned the Pens 4-0. I wouldn't expect a sweep but the Reds sure look stronger line for line and have more serious two-way players. Saw a kid at the race with Red Wing shoes!

                            Spokane Cups Connection

Part of me would like to have rooted for the Pens, but I'm a Western Conference guy and I had to go with the Wings... for Bab's sake.

You see, he head coached major junior (WHL) here in Spokane 10 years ago when we last were in the Memorial Cup (host city) and his assistant was Bill Peters. This year, the Spokane Chiefs, now head coached by Bill Peters returned to the Memorial Cup tournament and finished undefeated. Had to go with a little connection tying together those two trophies this year to good ol' Spokane.

                            GO, CHIEFS, GO!!!
